Sales Prospector

 

General Job Description:

You will work within an existing Sales territory, reaching out to financial advisors who resemble Longboard’s ideal customer profile.

You will own this first stage in the Sales cycle by identifying these financial advisors via phone conversations and email correspondence, generating rapport, building relationships, and then providing anyone who is a potential lead to the Salesperson you are working with.

You will schedule introductory calls/Zoom meetings for the potential leads and the Salesperson.

This is expected to be a position with upward potential based on your overall performance, demonstration of capabilities, application of coaching, training, and development, and execution of the entire company.

Job Expectations

You will be responsible for prospecting and developing new relationships with financial professionals at broker dealers and registered investment advisors:

  • Workflow includes substantial amounts of outbound prospecting, which includes cold calls (roughly 50/day) and emails or other touchpoints.

  • You will prospect financial advisors via phone, email, and, as long as messages do not directly pertain to the Fund(s) and/or investments, can utilize direct messages within LinkedIn and Twitter.

  • You will work 80% of your weekly hours on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, starting at 6 am or 6:30 am PT (9 am or 9:30 am ET), to approximately 1 pm PT (4 pm ET) though you may have breaks for class (if existing college student) during that time frame.

  • You can potentially dedicate 12 months+ to the role (including the training period). We look at this position as an apprenticeship, not an internship, as we're looking to find a mutual fit for the future as you grow in your Sales abilities.

  • You will ask the Longboard team members for resources you believe will help.

  • You will honestly and accurately record all sales activities in Salesforce.

  • You will be a performance pace setter in terms of sales activity and work ethic.

  • You will represent Longboard and yourself with the highest standards of professionalism and excellence at all times.

  • You will deliver results without excuses and help Longboard improve.

  • Part-time employee (not to exceed 29 hours/week @ $20/hour, plus performance/activity bonuses)
